She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Love and Ella Branch Burgett; her former husband Joel C. Brown, Sr.; and her sons, RonaldShe and Joel C. Brown, Sr..

She is survived by: her grandson Dr. Mike Woods of Raleigh; her friend Edna Baggett; her husband Alvin Gregory; her daughters, Linda Overby of Coats, NC, Vickie Kelly (Skip) of Norman, OK and Denise Whitehouse (Brad) of Mesa, AZ; her sister Faye Carter of Warsaw, NC; and her granddaughter Vickie Dawn Morris. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Community Funeral Home of Warsaw And (1654 NC-50, Warsaw, NC 28398). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Warsaw Community Funeral Home (1654 NC-50, Warsaw, NC 28398).
