Mary C. Kinkade

Mary C. Kinkade, age 89, of Monroe, passed away on March 5, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on October 28, 1936, in Phelps, Kentucky, Mary was the daughter of Kermit and Vicie (Chapman) Charles. She graduated from Phelps High School and attended Morehead State College. On September 3, 1966, she married Clyde Kinkade, Jr., who preceded her in death on February 20, 2002. Mary worked for Hometown USA, Repo City, and as a Tupperware Distributor before retiring in 2003.

She found deep joy in her role as grandmother and cherished time with her family. Mary also loved gardening and canning, following horse racing, University of Kentucky basketball, and the Olympics.

She is survived by her three sons, Christopher (Daphne) Kinkade, Charles Kinkade, and Carroll “Jerry” (Penny Kilgus) Kinkade; two sisters, Pheobe C. Burchett and Anna Rae (Dan) Hyden; and two grandchildren, Wyatt Kinkade and Shelby Kinkade. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Kinkade III; a grandson, Nathan Kilgus; and a sister, Lena C. Bailey.
