Mary Ann Schimmel

We are sad to announce that on March 6, 2026, at the age of 92, Mary Ann Schimmel (Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Ruf and Wilhelmina Ruf (Boos); her husband Lester Schimmel; and her siblings, Helen Boos, Rosie Schindler, Edward Ruf, Joseph Ruf and William Ruf.

She is survived by: her children, Ken (Bonnie), Tom, Carol Yohnk (Brian), Dave (Patty), Don (Karen), Steve (Jill), Yvonne Stewart (Kent) and Tim (Cyndi); her sister Clara Scheidecker; her brother-in-law Bill Schindler; Rick and Jen Ruf. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews including special nephew.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Peter's Catholic Church (11358 County Hwy Q, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729). A rosary will be held on Monday, March 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, March 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for a charity of the family's choosing in honor of Mary Ann.
