May 5, 1932— March 2, 2026
Gaylord, MI
Mary Ann Fraley, 93, of Gaylord, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. Born on May 5, 1932, in Rochester, Michigan, she was the daughter of Paul and Casilda (Yeip) Biskner. She grew up in Marine City, Michigan, with her two brothers and a sister. Mary Ann graduated from Holy Cross High School in Marine City, where she attended school for twelve years alongside her best friend, Janet Parcell.
On April 30, 1955, she married Francis Fraley in Marine City. They shared 67 devoted years of marriage until his passing in 2022. Together they created a loving home in St. Clair, Michigan, where they raised their five children. Mary Ann devoted herself fully to her role as a homemaker, bringing strength, stability, and unwavering care to her family. In recent years she resided at The Porches, where she found joy in lunch outings, playing bingo and Five Crowns, reading, and scratching lottery tickets. Her face would light up with excitement at a win, bringing smiles to those around her. She also had a green thumb and lovingly tended her plants, especially the Christmas cactus that had been a cherished gift from her mother-in-law, Evelyn Fraley.
She is survived by her children Michael (Lisa) Fraley of Vernon, Christine (Eric) Kosche of Brownstown, Toni (Howard) Biscarner of St. Clair, and Jodi (Al) Rider of Gaylord; daughter-in-law Doris Fraley of Parker, Colorado; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Francis; her son Dale Fraley; her siblings Nelson Biskner, Gerald (Janice) Biskner, and Maggie (Chuck) Grandy; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
