Mary Ann FoustUrbandaleMary Ann Foust, 81 years, went home to be with her Savior on February 24, 2026. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waukee with family friend Fr. Dennis Juhl of Marion, Iowa presiding. Family will greet guests at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will take place at Iowa Veteran's Cemetery at a later date.Mary Ann was born on October 5, 1944, to parents Joseph and Velma Severn (Smith) in Manchester, Iowa. She was raised in Manchester and graduated from West Delaware High School in 1962. She attended Mercy School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids and Clark College in Dubuque, completing her Bachelor of Nursing. She married her best friend from high school, Robert (Bob) Foust on August 12, 1967.Mary Ann worked as a nurse for Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids in the Coronary Care Unit, followed by Employee Health. She also worked for Medical Associates in Dubuque as a clinic nurse manager and case manager.Mary Ann and Bob had two children, BJ and Carrie. She loved entertaining; there was always room for one more and plenty of food. She loved the water, especially Sanibel Island. Many memories were made with all the kids and grandkids picking shells, fishing, and enjoying Florida. She and Bob spent many winters in retirement in Florida, where she loved educating everyone on every pretty bird, scenery, or shell.Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bob; son BJ (Sharon) and daughter Carrie (Dan); and five grandchildren- Kyle, Ryan, Allie, Eric, Maia.She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Velma Severn; her beloved uncle, W.W. "Smitty" Smith; father and mother-in-law, John Foust and Florence Foust.The family would like to thank all the staff at Story Point-Urbandale and Unity Point Hospice who provided exceptional care and were the blessed recipients of daily "I love you's" from Mary Ann.In remembrance, donations can be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church, Waukee, Iowa.Online condolences can be made at Ilescares.com.Iles Jordan Creek Chapel is handling arrangements.
