Mary Alice De La Cruz

Mary Alice De La Cruz, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Born on October 30, 1964, in Athens, Texas, to Camilia Gomez and Manuel De La Cruz, Mary was one of six siblings. She accepted Christ at an early age and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life, drawing strength and guidance from it in every season.

A devoted sports enthusiast, Mary could often be found cheering passionately from the sidelines at baseball games, track meets, and volleyball matches. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering support brought joy to those around her and reflected her lively, enthusiastic nature.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Eva Aldrete. She is survived by her husband, Kennith Steele; her children, Jonathan Steele and Miressia Steele; her brothers, Nellie, Oscar, Ronnie, and Alex De La Cruz; her grandchildren, Hazel and Arielle Steele; her sister-in-law, Sharon Steele; her nephews, Edward and Eric Aldrete; and a host of other family members and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of faith and enthusiasm will continue to inspire those she touched.
