A lifelong resident of Spring Creek, Mary was a devoted member of Shady Sea Baptist Church and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life-especially hunting and fishing.She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving Langston and Gertrude Cain Shields; her husband, John Brown; her son, Daniel Pearce; brothers, Ashton Spears and Eldon Spears; and sisters, Luxie Langston Carter and Irvine Langston Metcalf.Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children, Franklin Pearce and Lionel Pearce; her sisters, Alpha Sumner and Ida Collins (Robert); as well as four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her warmth, faith, and love for the outdoors will continue to inspire those who knew her.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Debra Nell Cemetery in Spring Creek.
