Marvin Maynard Case left this life on February 22, 2026. He was born in Cameron, MO to Maynard & Bertha Case, on February 17, 1930. He walked this earth for 96 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert, and his beloved wife, Edith, of nearly 73 years. Marvin is survived by his sister Mary, his brother Leslie, and his children: Kathy Case, John Case (Barbara), Gerry Case (Cindy), Benny Case (Patsy), Marie Hale, and Diane Wheaton (Duane), 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, and spouses. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and a host of family in Christ. Marvin loved to travel, visit with friends, family, and church members, plus help on any project the kids were involved in.
Marvin served as a medical orderly in the US army in 1948-1949 and received the “Army of Occupation Medal” for service in Germany and his “Sharpshooter Badge”. He worked in a variety of rolls, including lineman & switchman, for Southwestern Bell/ATT for 43 years. He served in the missionary field for 30+ years and strove to live his life as described in 1Peter 3:15.
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear …”
He truly wanted everyone to know Jesus.
