Marty Munn

Marty Dean Munn, 67, of Pontotoc, passed away on March 13, 2026, at his home. Born on May 7, 1958, to Hayward and Wilma Munn, he graduated from Pontotoc High School in 1976. Marty worked at Arvin Industries in Verona before retiring from Cooper Tire & Rubber Company after 38 years of dedicated service.

A longtime and faithful member of West Heights Baptist Church, Marty served in several areas of the church and took part in multiple mission trips. He cherished his Sunday School class and the fellowship it provided. He found joy in junking and antique shopping, tending to his yard, and hunting for a good bargain. Marty never met a stranger and especially loved sitting on his porch, visiting with anyone who stopped by.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Deborah Munn; daughters Ginger Beghtol (Jason) of Tupelo, Jennifer Munn Blankenship (Rob) of Belden, Maggie Patrick (Chuck), Lauren Holloway (Blake), both of Pontotoc, and AnnaLea Smith (Johnnie) of Ripley; seven grandchildren, Jack and John Beghtol, Isaac, Callie Anne, and LG Patrick, Lyndi Holloway, and Lela Dean Smith; brothers Edwin Munn (Kathy) and Philip Munn; brother-in-law Scotty Pennington (Christy); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joe Munn, and his in-laws Joe and Laberta Pennington.
