Martin Enrique Toscano Alvarez

March 21, 1957 February 20, 2026

Watsonville, CA

Martin Enrique Toscano Alvarez, born March 21, 1957, in Jiquilpan de Juárez, Michoacán, Mexico, to Enrique Toscano Martinez and Maria Jesús Alvarez Munguia, passed away on February 20, 2026.

From a young age, Martin learned the value of hard work as a butcher in his hometown. This trade allowed him to travel across different regions of Mexico and experience life in the countryside, skills and memories he carried with him throughout his life. He had a deep love for preparing food, and during holidays, celebrations, and family gatherings, he lovingly cooked meals that brought everyone together around the table. Even the simplest dishes became special through his dedication and care, creating lasting memories filled with flavor and warmth.

His greatest legacy was the family he built with love. He is survived by his beloved wife, Angélica Arteaga, and their children, Maribel, Enrique, Martin, and Osvaldo Toscano, who carry forward the values of hard work, love, and family unity he instilled in them. He is also remembered with great affection by his grandchildren, Erik C., Darlin T., Oliver C., Kaythlyn T., Arlett T., Martin T., Dimarco T., and Osvaldo T., and his great-grandchildren, Kalani M. and Kelina M.

Though his absence is deeply felt, Martin’s life continues in every memory, every lesson, and in the love he planted within his family. With faith, his loved ones trust that he now rests in peace in God’s eternal Kingdom.
