Martin Chambers ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Fait - d'Argy Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.Martin Clair Chambers, 80, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. Martin was born on May 20, 1945, to the late Frederick Lee and Betty Jane (Saltsgiver) Chambers in Punxsutawney. He graduated from trade school as a Steam Fitter. He was a Steam Fitter for local#354 and worked on Nuclear Power Plants and Alaskan Pipeline. He was also heavily involved in the school system; he was an instructor at VoTech school for welding and eventually retired as a school bus driver. Martin married the love of his life, Lynn Rae McCall on November 22, 1961; Lynn preceded him in passing on December 30, 2025. Martin was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local#354. Martin enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had a "Type A" personality and loved to make friends with everyone he met. He enjoyed being on the go completing his daily tasks and adventures. Martin is survived by two children: Dr. Martin Lee Chambers of Punxsutawney, and Kimberly Chambers Graves of Verona, PA; one sister: Lauren Ishman; five grandchildren: Harlan Chambers, Landon Chambers, Skyler Chambers, Zachary Peterson, and Victoria Peterson; and three great-grandchildren: Fionna, Rowen, and Elewyn. In addition to his parents and wife, Martin is preceded in passing by two brothers: Gary Chambers and Frederick Chambers. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Circle Hill Cemetery, time will be determined. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fait – d'Argy Funeral Home, 117 N.
