Martha Frances Henry Carter, 85, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on March 13, 2026, at her residence. Born on October 19, 1940, in Wilhite, Louisiana, Frances lived a life centered on family, faith, and the simple joys that brought her peace.

A devoted member of Cheniere Baptist Church, she remained faithful throughout her life.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Carter, Sr., known as Johnny; her parents, Howard and Bessie Henry; her sister, Annie Jean Henry; her brother and sister-in-law, Harold Henry, Sr. and Ann Henry; her nephews, Harold Henry, Jr. and Chris Henry; and her brother-in-law, Arthur Mott.
She is survived by her children, John Alton Carter, Jr., Greg Carter (Robbie), and Holley Carter (Dean); her grandchildren, Jessica Carter Reeves and Jonathan Carter; her great-grandchildren, Nate and Alex Reeves, Henry, Clara, and Nolan Carter; her sister, Doris Mott; her brother, WT Henry (Linda); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
