Martha "Charlena" Dunlap

Martha Charlena Dunlap, 92, of Beggs, Oklahoma, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born on December 23, 1933, in Hamilton, Oklahoma, to Lovena and Nealy Minyard, Charlena grew up with a deep love for learning and community.

After graduating from Bryant High School, she earned a B.S. in Education and a Master’s in Education from Northeastern State University in 1974. She devoted ten years to teaching early education before beginning a new chapter as an Administrative Clerk for the Creek Nation. Known for her quiet dedication and warm spirit, Charlena touched many lives through her work and her steady presence in the lives of those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lou Joe, and her brothers Tony, Jerry, and Tommy. Charlena is survived by her sister Sue Allen, her husband Bill Dunlap, and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who will carry forward her memory with affection and gratitude.
