Martha Blanton

Martha Blanton, 73, of Millport, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born Martha Beard on August 30, 1952, in Fernbank, Alabama, she was known for her warm heart and gentle spirit. A devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and dear friend to many, Martha created a home filled with welcome, laughter, and abiding love. She found her greatest joy in quiet, meaningful moments spent with family, watching her grandchildren grow, and caring deeply for those around her.

She shared a lifetime of companionship and love with her husband, Jimmy Blanton. Together they built a family and a rich collection of memories that will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. Her kindness and ability to make others feel seen and valued left a lasting impression on everyone whose life she touched.

Martha is survived by her husband, Jimmy Blanton; son, Wyatt Dolan; step-sons, Andy Dolan, Roger Dolan, and Gary Blanton; step-daughters, Tammy Howard and Lori Wright; brother, Charles Beard; granddaughter, Nadia Dolan; great-granddaughter, Briana Hamrick; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Leland Beard and Billie Fay Booth Howton, and her sister, Rebecca Merritt.
