Martha Anne Brubaker

Martha Anne Crabtree Brubaker, 66, of Christiansburg, passed away on March 13, 2026, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Robert Kurtz “Bru” Brubaker, Jr.

Born in Abingdon, Virginia, on February 24, 1960, Martha was the daughter of the late Sue Grizzle Duty. She worked as a social worker for Montgomery County, where she touched many lives through her compassion and dedication. Martha found great joy in flower gardening, spending time at the beach, crocheting, reading, and baking for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Bru; two sons, Preston Adam Harrington and his wife, Pia, and their son, Noah Kai Harrington of Midlothian, and Elijah Kurtz Brubaker of Christiansburg; and her brother, Greg Scott Crabtree of Cleveland, Virginia. Martha was a wonderful and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Her family will always remember her gentle spirit and the warmth she brought to every gathering.
