Cedarville, IL
Marsha Lynn Schneider, 73, of Cedarville, Illinois, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on September 18, 1952, in Floyd County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Robert Chapman and Mary Ann Minix.
Marsha spent her professional years working in the plumbing industry, managing offices and performing estimating for several businesses in Illinois. Above all, she found deep fulfillment in supporting her husband through his many endeavors and in nurturing children of all ages as a devoted homemaker. Known to everyone as a true firecracker who never met a stranger, she kept her door open to anyone in need. She gave generously of herself, often sacrificing so that others could have what their hearts desired. She was rarely without a four-legged companion at her side. Marsha cherished flowers, nature, and the beautiful red cardinals that frequently visited her. She enjoyed trying her luck with slot machines, scratchers, and trifectas, finding joy in spoiling her loved ones with any winnings.
A woman who could never be contained, she was always ready for an adventure, a spontaneous ride, or an unannounced visit to family—often announced by a phone call saying, “Put on a pot of coffee… I’m on my way.” She served as the matriarch of a large and loving family that extended far beyond blood ties, offering quiet strength, steadfast support, and countless blessings to all who knew her.
Marsha was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Hall, her husband, James J. Schneider, and her son, Kyle Brandon Schneider. She is survived by her daughter Jamie Schneider and grandchildren Zaiden, Charlotte, and Sharon; her son Aytien (Kiara Felton) Schneider; her daughter Evelyn (Leean) Atkins and grandchildren Ella and Lezlie; her daughter Rae Lukancic and grandchildren William and Maddison; her stepson Jason (Bonnie) Schneider and grandchildren Lauren, Caitlin, and Ethan; her stepdaughter April Schneider-Daring and grandchildren Robin and Abbey; her brother Brian (Susie) Hall; her sister Karen Raisbeck; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.
