Marsha G. St. Cin

July 3, 1947 March 1, 2026

Walkerton, IN

Marsha St. Cin, 78, of Walkerton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Born on July 3, 1947, in Elkhart, she lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and a deep love for her family and community. For many years she served as a mentor to special needs students through the JESSE program, where her patience, gentle spirit, and encouraging heart touched the lives of countless children and their families.

A devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church, Marsha found great joy in serving others and growing in her faith. She also gave many years to the Girl Scouts of America, guiding and inspiring young girls with the same warmth she extended to everyone around her. Though widowed first by her husband of many years, John St. Cin, whom she married on July 17, 1967, and later by her second husband, Larry Foust, whom she married on May 31, 2014, she remained steadfast in her love for her family and her trust in God.

Marsha’s playful and spirited nature endeared her to all who knew her. She loved thrifting and garage sales, famously displaying a bumper sticker that warned others her car stopped at every one. Yet her greatest treasures were always her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Tim St. Cin and Amy (Lynn) Scott; her grandchildren, Dustin (Chandra) St. Cin, Ashlee (Robert) Dill, Kylee St. Cin, Brianna Clark, and Zack Scott; and her seven great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her sisters, Renee Hysell and Robin Flogger, and her brothers, Craig and Bill Hurley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Laverne Hurley; her husbands, John St. Cin and Larry Foust; and three brothers. Marsha will be remembered as a kind and faithful woman whose life was marked by service, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Her gentle presence and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
