She was born July 10, 1956, in Anderson, Indiana, to Ralph and Evalyn Clendenen.Dawn spent most of her life in Pendleton before making her home in Noblesville for the past 15 years. She was a licensed cosmetologist who loved doing hair and connecting with people. She also enjoyed working at Hoosier Park Racetrack, where she found a community she cared about.As a young woman, Dawn was a cheerleader and played softball, carrying that same fun-loving spirit throughout her life. She loved horses, dancing, and music of all kinds, especially The Gaithers and classic rock. She also had a special place in her heart for dogs and welcomed many beloved pets into her life over the years.More than anything, Dawn loved her family. She was very protective of them. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson were her greatest pride and joy, and she cherished every moment with them.Dawn had a gift of laughter. She was especially good at laughing at herself. Once she started, it was contagious and hard to stop.She would give anyone her last dollar or the shoes right off her feet.Sixteen years ago, Dawn's life was profoundly changed through the Third Phase Women's Shelter. She carried forward a renewed strength and a strong faith in Jesus.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Evalyn Clendenen; her sisters, Mikel Rusher and Tana Granger; her fiancé, Randy Holt Littrell; her grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.Dawn is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Mark) Miller and April Adams; her grandchildren, Trystan Adams (Ashton Welte), Jesse (Sean) Johnson, Jack Adams, and Harper Adams; and her great-grandson, Carter Adams. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Clendenen (Karrie Michael); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, including Wanda Jackson, Craig Andrews, and Theresa Barber.Her kids would like her to be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, and her sense of humor.The visitation will be held on Monday, March 23rd, 2026, from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013. The service will begin immediately after the visitation at 6:00 PM with Pastor Jesse Flood officiating.Her wishes were to be cremated.Her faith gave her peace as she lived out the words of a song she loved: "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow."loosecares.comTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
