Marsha Carolyn Johnson

May 18, 1950 March 7, 2026

Odessa, TX

Marsha Carolyn Johnson, lovingly known as “Herman” to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Odessa, Texas, after a courageous battle with an autoimmune disorder. Born on May 18, 1950, in Lubbock, Texas, to Veto Porter Miller and Lenna Faye Winn Miller, Carolyn lived 75 years marked by warmth, generosity, and quiet strength.

A proud graduate of Odessa High School, class of 1968, she carried her spirited nature and kind heart into a long career as a Patient Care Technician with Fresenius Dialysis, where she served for 30 years. Her selfless dedication brought comfort and dignity to countless patients, earning the deep respect and affection of colleagues and those in her care. A woman of deep Christian faith, Carolyn lived her beliefs through daily acts of compassion and service, drawing strength from her convictions during life’s hardest seasons.

Creative and endlessly giving, she found joy in painting, sewing, crochet, and floral design. Her handmade gifts brightened the homes and lives of family and friends, each piece a lasting expression of her loving spirit. Above all, Carolyn cherished her family. She is survived by her three children in Odessa—sons William Perry and his wife Michelle, Jerry Daniels and his wife Anna, and daughter Noma Daniels—as well as 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, who knew her as their beloved “Herman.” She is also survived by her sisters Linda, Darla, Janice, and Rhonda, her brother Randall, many nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Veto and Lenna Miller, brothers Jerry and Veto Miller, sister Joy Johnson, and grandson Shawn Perry. Her memory will live on in the stories shared and the love carried forward by all whose lives she so gently and generously touched.
