Marsha Ann Scott

1942 — 2026

Sacramento, CA

Marsha Ann (King) Scott passed away in Sacramento, California, on March 7, 2026. Born on March 2, 1942, she was the only child of Alfred and Rose (Morris) King, also of Sacramento. She graduated from Bishop Armstrong High School, spent cherished summer vacations in Santa Cruz, and was crowned a Portuguese Princess during her teenage years. She attended Sacramento City College, where she met and married Clyde Scott in 1962. The couple made their home in the Greenhaven/Pocket area and raised two children, Doug and Stacy.

Marsha was deeply involved in her community, volunteering for more than forty years with the Mercy Hospital Guild, serving as an Election Poll Coordinator, leading a Brownie troop, and acting as a dedicated Little League Team Mom. A talented seamstress, she designed and sewed clothing for her family. She worked as an assistant at Werner Dillier’s Insurance Investment Agency and later as a clerk in the insurance department for the Sacramento City Unified School District before retiring.

In retirement, Marsha and Clyde enjoyed traveling, taking cruises with friends, and spending peaceful time at their cabin in South Lake Tahoe. Above all, she delighted in her four grandchildren—Connor, Christian, Jacob, and Allison—attending their activities with enthusiasm. An avid baseball fan, she loved watching her grandsons play and cheering on the Sacramento River Cats. She made visiting Stacy’s family and being present for their special occasions a priority. Marsha was known for her sharp eye for a good bargain, her habit of collecting coupons, and her signature coordinated outfits. Most of all, she will be remembered for her constant desire to bring everyone together for a photograph.

She is survived by her husband Clyde, her children Doug and Stacy, and her grandchildren Connor, Christian, Jacob, and Allison.
