Oklahoma City, OK

Marolyne Jean Spence, 74, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026. Born on March 23, 1951, she shared a special lifelong bond with her identical twin sister, Carolyne Findley, who was also her best friend. Family was the center of her world, and she found deep joy in cooking for loved ones, sharing meals, and recounting stories from their family history.

A devoted genealogist, Marolyne spent countless hours researching and tracing her family lineage back several generations. She had a great love for music, especially Elvis Presley and classic country, and enjoyed visiting the casino, playing the slot machines, and spending quiet time with her beloved dogs. Creative and talented, she made ceramics and pottery, earning second place at the Oklahoma State Fair for her work.

Known for her warm hospitality and exceptional cooking, Marolyne was famous among family and friends for her pork chops, red beans and rice, and homemade cornbread. She worked as an accountant for Liberty Bank in Oklahoma City and as a secretary for the local Iron Workers Union, where she formed many lasting friendships.

Marolyne is survived by her loving husband, Al Spence, to whom she was married for 15 years; her sister, Carolyne Findley; her step-sister, Shelia McKeel; her brothers, Fred Rone and Steve Rone; and her cherished white long-haired Chihuahua, Colby. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Avozee Smallwood and Martin Talley; her daughter, Stephanie Goodin; and her beloved dogs Charlie, Pebbles, and Shadow.
