Marlyne Joyce Miller

Marlyne Joyce Miller, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on November 8, 1946, in Cedar Rapids to Allen and Paulyne (Floerschinger) McGregor, she graduated from high school and attended cosmetology school at Capri College. She worked for many years in the cosmetology field before joining Miller Beauty Supply, later acquired by Peels Beauty Supply, where she was repeatedly recognized as a top-selling sales representative. She later found success in real estate, devoting more than 15 years to Skogman Realty and helping numerous families in the Cedar Rapids area find homes with care and professionalism.

Baptized at First Lutheran Church, Marlyne carried her faith throughout her life. She cherished time with her grandchildren and closest friends, and found joy in singing, playing cards, cruising, traveling, crafting, and taking walks with her dogs. A lifelong animal lover, she delighted in feeding wildlife and generously supported many charitable organizations, including the Wounded Warrior Project, the Humane Society of the United States, the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, Special Olympics, and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

She is survived by her sister, Mauryne Simoens; her children, Stephanie Miller and Matthew (Denise) Miller; her grandchildren, Cameron Mendoza, Lauren (Timothy) Chavez, and Cyrus Miller; and her great-grandchildren, Maddox, McCartney, and Kinnick. Her family extends their deepest gratitude to her closest friends for the love and support they gave her, especially during her most difficult years.
