Marlin was born in Hannaford, ND to Hjalmar and Marie Berg. He grew up in Spokane, WA where he married Betty (Shaffer), his wife of 77 years.They had 4 children, David (Cynthia), Vonnie (Gary), Don (Kris), and Patti (deceased). They had 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was loved by all.A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, March 10 at Milwaukie Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Milwaukie Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
