Marlene S. Allen, age 76, of Logan, Ohio, passed away on March 15, 2026, at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. Born on November 18, 1949, in Logan to Harley Chambers and Carrie Linscott, Marlene was a devoted member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church for 44 years. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life, and she found her greatest joy in her church and her family.

For many years Marlene served as a caretaker, looking after family, friends, and working as a home health aide. She cherished lively game nights with Carrie, Sue, and Helen, and she was known for her joyful singing and her playful talent for playing the spoons.

She is survived by her children, Teresa (Billy) Gibson, Derrick (Karen) Allen, Lorena (Jeff Miller) Howell, and Carrie (Mark) Bowersock; grandchildren Amanda, Jacob, Josh, Brian, Shawn, Kayla, Kenny, Shanna, Kenneth, Tamara, Nichole, and Britney; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Marlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Allen; her parents; her son, Donald Melvin; her granddaughter, Brandy Bishop; and her siblings, Richard Chambers, Harley “Gene” Chambers, Raymond Chambers, Mary Conner, Edith Schultz, and Pam Holtz.
