Marlene Martinson

Marlene Martinson, 88, of Jefferson, passed away on March 6, 2026, at Lake House Assisted Living in Lake Mills.

Born on September 10, 1937, Marlene was the beloved daughter of Lewis and Lucille Diedrich. On September 13, 1958, she married Warren Martinson, the love of her life, and together they built a family rooted in care, devotion, and quiet strength.

A nurse by profession and by nature, Marlene spent her life caring for others with deep compassion. She was known for always putting family and friends first, meeting every challenge with grace, and never complaining, even in difficult times. Her gentle presence brought comfort to those around her. She found simple joy in reading, sewing, collecting, and spending time with her family, and she cherished the companionship of her late dog, Sophie.

Marlene is survived by her children, James Martinson of Montello, Laura Cox (Michael) of Jefferson, and Eric (Regina) Martinson of East Troy; her grandchildren, Kara (Chad) Carpenter, Morgan Martinson, Taylor (Chris) Gitzel, and Logan Cox; and her great-grandchildren, Troy and Peyton Stillman and McCoy Carpenter.
