Marla Lois Deviney

Marla Lois Deviney, 74, of Woodward, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on March 6, 2026. Born on September 7, 1951, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Harvey and Mary Lane, Marla grew up in Northwest Oklahoma with her two brothers. She attended elementary school in Fort Supply and graduated with the class of 1969. She later attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University with dreams of becoming a history teacher before meeting the love of her life, Clovis Louis Deviney.

Marla left college to build a family and was blessed with three children: Johnny Paul, Victoria “Tory” Dawn of California, and Erica Suzanne of Woodward. Known for her strong work ethic, she held various jobs over the years, including bartending, cooking, and waitressing, before spending 20 years in the nursery at Murphy’s Pig Farms until her retirement in 2017.

She had a warm and lively spirit, always quick to smile, joke, and strike up conversations. Marla touched everyone she met with her kind and angelic soul. She held a deep love for her family, especially her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Johnny Paul.
