Marketta Latrice Miller

Marketta Latrice Miller, 34, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, surrounded by her father, brother, and children. Born on March 2, 1992, in Battle Creek to Marcus Miller Sr. and Alice Faye Wynn, she attended Battle Creek Public Schools and graduated from South Hill Academy in June 2009.

Marketta had a vibrant spirit and took great joy in singing, dancing, listening to music, cooking, and spending time at the casino. She loved joking and laughing with family and friends, caring for her hair, and trying new styles. Above all, she cherished her children, taking them to events, creating lasting memories, and pouring her love into every moment spent with them. Her sons and daughters were her pride and joy. With compassion and care for others, she worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide before later joining Snack Werk.

She is survived by her father, Marcus Miller Sr.; grandmother, Alice Reed; sons, Marquis Miller and Kenneth Blair; daughters, Maniyah Miller and Markenyah Blair; brothers, Kenneth Harris, Anthony Wynn, Marcus Miller Jr., Martez Miller, Marquise Miller, Charles Coleman, Chris Coleman, Damarcus Walbeck, and Marcel Spraggins; sister, Martiyah Cummings-Miller; along with aunts, great-aunts, great-uncles, godmother, god-siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

Marketta was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Faye Wynn; grandfathers, Charles Wynn and Abraham Miller; grandmother, Janice Miller; great-grandfather, Tim Witcher; great-grandmother, Ruthie Witcher; and aunt, Levette Mallett. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
