Jeffersontown, KY
Mark Temple Watson, 73, of Jeffersontown, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, he was a U.S. Army veteran and is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Catherine (McNeill) Watson, and his brother, Timothy Watson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia (Treadwell) Watson; his children, Valerie Watson and Mark Watson II; his granddaughter, Ocean Watson; his sisters, Rebecca Snyder (Gilbert) and Mary Pew (Ken); his brothers, Phillip Watson (Maureen), Thomas Watson (Celina), and Steve Watson (Michele Bryan); his sisters-in-law, Suzanne Roiger (Richard), Janice Burzlaff (Steve), and Katherine Caswell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mark worked as a journalist and lawyer and was a writer of fiction. He held deep passions for politics, Constitutional law, and a free press. He was Pat’s best friend and possessed a unique sense of humor that kept family members on their toes and strangers pleasantly confused. He left this world in his favorite place, sitting on the back porch, enjoying the sun and blue sky with the gentle sounds of his wind chimes and distant train horns.
