Mark Russel Greaves Obituary March 13, 2026 - Palms Funeral Home

Angleton, TX

Mark Russel Greaves, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026. A man of quiet strength and steadfast character, Mark built a life defined by hard work, athletic excellence, and an unwavering devotion to his family.

Born on April 27, 1955, in Crosby, North Dakota, to Clayton and Rose Greaves, Mark grew up in a large, vibrant household. At Noonan High School, he distinguished himself as a standout athlete whose speed on the track became legendary; he held the school record for six years. He went on to attend Whapton College in North Dakota. Mark brought that same dedication to his professional life, serving 30 years with Phillips 66. He took great pride in his work, seeing it as the foundation for the good life he provided for those he loved.

On September 11, 1987, Mark married the love of his life, Marilyn. Together they shared 38 years of marriage, building a home centered on love and family. Though he was a provider by trade, his greatest joy was his role as a father and especially as “Pops.” He was a proud and supportive father to his three sons and cherished every moment spent with his seven grandchildren, celebrating their lives and watching them grow.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Greaves; his sons, Dustin Greaves, Darrin (Morgan) Greaves, and Daniel (Krystal) Greaves; and his seven grandchildren, Brantley, Teagan, Khloe, Koraline, Kwynn, Joey, and Devon. He is also survived by his siblings: Tom Greaves, Ted Greaves, Jeff (Heidi) Greaves, Karen Ide, Sue (Duane) Evenson, Lee Greaves, Joey Greaves, Donna (Sam) Mullins, and Roxanne (David) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Rose Greaves.

Mark will be remembered for his resilience, his deep love for his family, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him.
