Heinemeier, age 69, of Edwardsville, IL, passed on Monday, March 9, 2026, at his residence in Edwardsville. Mark was born on October 11, 1956, in Bloomington, IL, the son of the late Ramon & Arlene (Carlin) Heinemeier Mark is survived by his significant other, Cathey Mueller, of Edwardsville, IL; a son, Michael Heinemeier, of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Karen Larken, of Hendersonville, NC, and Kris (David) Mohler, of Rock Hill, MO Besides his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Heinemeier. Mark was a well-known HVAC Technician in the St. Louis and Metro East areas owning and operating Atlas Service Co. Mark held a master scuba diver rating and traveled all over the world to dive. He especially loved doing underwater photography. Mark also was an avid motorcycle rider and traveled across the country on rides including the Tail of the Dragon trail. A private graveside service was held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville. The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society, Metro-East Humane Society, Madison County Animal Control, and Earthjustice Organization.
