Mark Ott

Mark K. Ott, 69, of Kipton, passed away at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Born in Norwalk on December 6, 1956, to Arnold “Joe” and Martha Ott, Mark grew up in New London and graduated from New London High School with the Class of 1976.

He worked in the maintenance department at Green Circle Growers for 38 years, retiring in 2022. Mark also served as an electrician for the Lorain County Fairgrounds and was a longtime member of the Wellington American Legion Post 8. He found simple joy in fishing, barbequing, and mowing his lawn, and could often be found relaxing on his porch or sitting by a fire.

Mark is survived by his companion of 32 years, Joanne Marchand; his siblings, Arnold “Butch” (Janet) Ott, Kevin (Becky) Ott, and Judy (Mike) Moffit; stepchildren, Dan (Julie) Marchand and Steven (Bobbi) Marchand; nephews A.J. (Courtney) Ott, Quinn (Michelle) Thomas, Seth (Autumn) Thomas, Ethan (Jenny) Ott, Dustin (Leslie) Ott, Trevor (Jenn) Ott, and Michael (Monica) Moffit; and nieces Amy Ott and Janet Kraus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold “Joe” and Martha Ott, and his stepson, Andy Marchand.
