Mark Needham May 2, 1957 - March 6, 2026 Mooresville, North Carolina - Mark Lindsay Needham, 68, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. He was born on May 2, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Lt. Col. Herbert Curtis "Curt" Needham and Joyce Patterson Needham. Mark was a member of Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church, Mooresville. Following his graduation from NC State in 1980, he worked as a health care consultant for 13 years and went on to obtain his MBA, General Contractor and Real Estate Broker Licenses. Mark, his father and brother formed Bonanza Development in 1991. Mark joined the company full-time in 1993. The company motto is "Develop, Build & Manage" Mark was a member of the Top of the Lake Rotary for 22 years and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He also was a member of the National Ski Patrol, Beech Mountain for 10 years. Mark was on the Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce Executive Board for a number of years. He was recognized by the Chamber as the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year in 2006 and he received the Outstanding Citizen Award for Community Service in 2010. He also served on the Executive Building Committee for the new sanctuary of Williamson's Chapel UMC. He was a member of NC Home Builders Association and served on two different HOA's. Mark enjoyed snow skiing, fishing and boating on Lake Norman and spending time with his family. Those left to cherish Mark's memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Lee Hart Needham; children, Kristen Saragoni (Nick), Curtis Needham; brother, Scott Needham (Marilyn); grandchildren, Mila Saragoni, Cooper Saragoni; aunts, Elizabeth Cook, Jo Coble, Carol Hooker (Doug); sister-in-law, Melissa Chopko (David); numerous cousins; faithful companion, Shiloh. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Williamson's Chapel UMC with Rev. Toni Ruth Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.
