Mark “Mackie” Anthony Byus

Mark Anthony Byus, known affectionately as Mackie, was born on March 23, 1960, in Columbus to the late William A. and Rebecca (Frances) Byus. He passed away at the age of 65.

Mackie is survived by his daughter, Heather (Charles) Carroll; his grandchildren, Paige Hamilton, Nicholas Carroll, and Ryleigh Carroll; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Teddie (David) Gignac, Connie (Galen) Cannon, and Rodney (JoAnn) Byus, along with many other loving family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.

For more than four decades, Mackie worked as a Building Engineer at the State Office Tower. In his free time, he cherished quiet moments with his beloved dog, Timex.
