Mark Lewis

Mark Lewis, 68, of Pine Grove, California, passed away on March 4, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.

Born on December 12, 1957, in El Paso, Texas, Mark was the son of a Green Beret Sergeant Major. His family lived in many places around the world before settling in Massachusetts. He earned a B.S. in engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Northeastern University. A licensed civil engineer, Mark worked for Caltrans for 35 years, serving as the permit engineer in Amador County until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Louise Lewis; his children, Stephen Matthew (Lauren), Caitlin Leeburn (James), and Thomas; his grandchildren, Lizzy Lewis, Everett Leeburn, Alice, Carter, Lane, and Everett; and his brother, Barry Lewis of Somerville, Massachusetts. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Lewis, and his older brother, Stephen.
