Mark John Pohlmann

Mark John Pohlmann passed away on March 6, 2026, at Grundy Center Hospital. Born on November 8, 1959, in Vinton, Iowa, Mark lived in his hometown before moving to Grundy Center about twenty years ago. He worked for many years as an assistant manager at Family Foods and later at the Richlieu dressing factory.

Mark found joy in playing pool and, above all, in spending time with his daughter. Those who knew him will remember him as a loving and kind man whose gentle presence touched many lives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertha Pohlmann of Vinton, Iowa, and his brother, Mike Pohlmann of Garrison, Iowa. Mark is survived by his daughter, Morgan Pohlmann; his brothers, Edward and Steven (Sandy) Pohlmann; and many nieces and nephews.
