Mark Francis Jones

Mark Francis Jones, 67, of Canton, passed away on March 11 at Mercy Hospital. Born in Canton on May 26, 1958, to the late Jack and Mary (Dagy) Jones, he was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Terry, Mike, and Jack.

Mark held a lifelong passion for racing, especially stock cars. His weekends were often spent following races, discussing engines and drivers, and sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family. The speed, competition, and culture of the sport brought him genuine joy. In his younger years, he also loved riding his motorcycle, finding deep satisfaction in the freedom and adventure each ride offered.

Those who knew Mark will remember him as someone who cherished simple pleasures and the thrill of a roaring engine. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Jones-Host and Kelly (Denny) Hilson; his brother, James Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
