Mark Eugene Huettner, 64, of Cave Creek, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2026. Born on May 22, 1961, in Oxnard, California, Mark spent his life building businesses, friendships, traditions, and memories, yet nothing brought him greater pride than the family he cherished so deeply.
He married the love of his life, Shawn, in 1988. Together they created a home filled with laughter, loyalty, and deep family connection. Mark was an devoted father to his three children, Jack, Katie, and Joe. He remained a constant presence in their lives, offering guidance, encouragement, humor, and steadfast support through every stage. In recent years, he found profound joy in becoming a grandfather to Charlotte, Cohen, and Wyatt, and nothing delighted him more than gathering the entire family together.
Mark had a natural gift for bringing people together. Family, friends, neighbors, and his children’s friends always felt welcome in his home. He loved hosting gatherings, sharing meals, telling stories, watching games, and creating lasting traditions that drew everyone close year after year. His laughter, generosity, and big heart put people at ease and made him the center of so many cherished memories.
Professionally, Mark was an entrepreneur and dedicated business owner. He founded Happy Dog Toys and later owned successful UPS stores, taking pride in both his work and the relationships he built along the way.
He is survived by his wife Shawn Huettner; his children Jack Huettner and his wife Paige, Katie Wiese and her husband Aaron, and Joe Huettner; his grandchildren Charlotte, Cohen, and Wyatt; his mother Barbara Huettner; his sisters Beth Olsen and Jenny Giudice; his mother-in-law Carol Preston; and many extended family members and lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Huettner and his father-in-law Mike Preston.
Mark will be remembered as the heart of the family—the one who made everyone laugh the hardest, supported them through every challenge, and loved them more than anything. The love he gave and the memories he created will continue to guide his family for the rest of their lives.
