Mark Emery Dolski
February 27, 1945— March 4, 2026
Minneapolis, MN
Mark Emery Dolski, 81, passed into eternity on March 4, 2026. Born on February 27, 1945, he was the first child of Jerome and Edith (Voyles) Dolski and grew up on the family farm.
He attended Holy Rosary and spent three years at Sacred Heart Seminary in Oneida before graduating from Kewaunee High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Norbert College and, later in life, completed a Master’s Degree to teach Montessori. After college he was accepted into the Peace Corps, but the Vietnam draft took precedence. He served as a Sergeant E-5, was awarded a Bronze Star, and later faced health challenges from Agent Orange exposure that altered the course of his life.
Mark worked first as a laborer in construction, then as a trained welder specializing in Tungsten Inert Gas on stainless steel for the food industry. He opened a natural foods store and played a key role in establishing NEW Foods Coop. In Minneapolis, he owned the historic Pleasant House rooming house, became a minister in the Church Universal and Triumphant, taught Montessori, ran for Minnesota State Senate in District 6, and later became part owner of the family farm, Dolski 6, L.L.C.
He is remembered as a kind and generous man who often asked, “Who should I pray for?” Mark showed remarkable self-discipline in his diet and health practices. An intellectual and avid reader, he studied religion, health, and culture, encouraging others to live virtuously, participate in government, and uphold conservative values of God, family, and country. He was a devoted promoter of Medjugorje rosaries and the Miraculous Medal and a steadfast defender of the constitutional right to life for the unborn. In his final days, he received Extreme Unction and the Apostolic Blessing.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Isa (William Obermeyer) Dolski; brothers Jerome Dolski Jr., Dennis (Lynn) Dolski, Timothy (Diane) Dolski, Philip (Diane) Dolski; sisters Mary (Robert) Novak, Rose Dolski (Qamar), Ramona (David) Barnica, Christine (Mark) Tulachka, and Joan (Joseph) Conley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Christopher Dolski, and brother-in-law Thomas Spaulding Givens (Nadi Qamar).
