Mark Colin Langley

March 25, 1965 March 15, 2026

Sellersburg, IN

Mark Colin Langley, age 60 of Sellersburg, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. He lived a life defined by hard work, laughter, and a deep love for family and the outdoors.

For more than 40 years, Mark worked as a press operator in the printing industry, the last 21 of those at Superior Print. Known to many as “Marky,” he approached every task with pride and exacting care. If something wasn’t done to his high standard, he would start over without hesitation, ensuring every detail was perfect. His strong work ethic and dedication to his craft left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him.

Outside of work, Mark found his greatest joy in life’s simpler pleasures. He loved Western movies, pausing them frequently to savor every scene. An avid gun collector and true outdoorsman, he cherished fishing, hunting, and camping trips with family. He was especially known as the “Keeper of the Flame,” expertly tending fires in the old Buck Stove and proudly teaching his beloved grandson, Sawyer, the same skill. His warm spirit and quick wit made him the undisputed king of Dad jokes, always ready with a playful quip or a laugh to brighten the day.

Above all, Mark was a devoted family man. He was a loving father to his daughter, Tara, whom he affectionately called his “Kid,” and made it his life’s mission to ensure she always felt loved, protected, and supported. Christmas in his home was magical, filled with lights, laughter, and the sound of Christmas music played loudly on 106.9 beginning each year on November 1st. He is survived by his daughter, Tara Ashley (Langley) King and her husband, Jeremy; his parents, Colin G. and Janet Elaine (Williams) Langley; his brother, Alan Langley; his grandson, Sawyer Luke King; his lifelong friends Jeral Murry and Eric Wolfe; his cat, Hickory Dickory Dock; his niece, Nicole Elaine Langley; his nephews, Nicholas Alan and Neal Anthony Langley; and many extended family members and friends who will always remember his steady presence, generous heart, and unmistakable sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eileen Blanch Williams, Francis Henry Williams, Audrey May Langley, and Horace Wilfred Langley, and by his beloved dog, Koda.
