Mark Andrew Goyette, age 48, passed away on March 6, 2026 in Norman. He was born on April 14, 1977, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and had been part of the Norman/Moore community since 1978.Mark earned an associate degree in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and spent his life working in a variety of roles. He was known for his curiosity, creativity, and wide range of interests. Mark especially loved building with LEGO sets and enjoyed science fiction; especially Douglas Adams "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", along with Doctor Who and Star Trek. He was also a fan of The Beatles, video games, and had a particular fondness for penguins.Mark was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Goyette; his grandmother, LaVerne Davidson; his grandfather, Seemer Halley Davidson; and his paternal grandparents, Paul and Gwendolyn Goyette.He is survived by his mother, Sharon Goyette of Moore, Oklahoma; his brother, Jeffrey Goyette of Moore, Oklahoma; his aunt, Carole Esmatpour of Norman, Oklahoma; his cousin, Castle Esmatpour of Norman, Oklahoma; Cousins Kelle DeBord and Robert Channing Reynolds of Oklahoma and numerous paternal cousins in New York and Vermont.Mark will be remembered for his unique interests, his creativity, and the joy he found in the things he loved. A Celebration of Marks life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 4-6 pm at the Ruby Grant Park North Pavilion located on Franklin Road in Norman. This will be a come and go reception and everyone is encouraged to come and share your memories with the family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to World Wildlife Fund or a memorial tree donation in Marks name.
