Mark Allan Stovall, 56, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on December 4, 1969, in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Raphael and Dorothy (Joseph) Stovall. A graduate of Lawrenceville High School Class of 1988, he married Debra Carson on September 30, 2017.
Mark will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and PopPop who cherished every moment spent with his family. He took special delight in staying close to his grandchildren and being an active part of their lives. Known for his great sense of humor, he was a true jokester who loved making people laugh and pulling off playful pranks that brought smiles to everyone around him. An avid outdoorsman, he looked forward to deer hunting each season and also enjoyed squirrel hunting and mushroom hunting. Mark was a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in his career as a truck driver, working at Road Master and the Walmart Distribution Center, where he formed many lasting friendships. He was deeply proud of his Stovall family name and the legacy it represented.
He is survived by his wife, Deb Stovall; children, Shawn (Katie) Stovall, AJ Harvey, Heather (Brooklynn) Stovall, Angelica (Chris) Bobbitt, Hailey (Troy) Kuehne, Shainna (Corey) Carson, and Hannah (Jake) Carson; grandchildren, Madeline Parsons, Kayson Stovall, Shaylynn Stovall, Kolton Stovall, Oliver Suggs, Connor Suggs, Kameron Black, and Kingston Black; brother, Kenny Stovall; sisters, Connie (Ben) Dicus, Annette (Leon) Trout, and Amy (James) Deisher; mother-in-law, Jerri Pierce; sister-in-law, Brandy (Bryan) Wright; brother-in-law, Carl Pierce, Jr.; and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; son, Travis Harvey; brother, Joe Stovall; father-in-law, Carl Pierce; and special friend, Dave Carter.
