Mark Allan Kolbo

December 28, 1954 March 8, 2026

West Haven, UT

Mark Allan Kolbo, age 71, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in West Haven, Utah, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous ten-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Born on December 28, 1954, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Louis Alvin Kolbo and Jenice Yvonne Paulson Kolbo, Mark was raised in Anaheim, California, alongside his three brothers, Michael, Larry, and Keith. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he nurtured a lifelong testimony of Jesus Christ and the restored gospel. In 1974, he married Linda Lee Fleming in Los Angeles, California, and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles California Temple. Mark and Linda shared 54 years of faithful devotion, love, and service. His love for and dedication to his wife remained constant and unwavering.

Mark considered his family his greatest blessing. He lived in Southern California, Orem and Cedar City, Utah, San Antonio and Tyler, Texas, and finally West Haven, Utah. To support his large family, he worked as a salesman, truck driver, and business owner. In the 1980s, he and Linda ran The Paint Bucket, a paint shop in Cedar City, where he was happiest working alongside his family and expressing his creativity. In the early 2000s, they founded Linda’s Backyard Bunch in East Texas, bringing joy to countless families through puppet shows and birthday celebrations lovingly created and performed by Mark, Linda, and their children.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Jenice Kolbo. He is survived by his wife, Linda Kolbo; their seven children, Jonathan Kolbo (Jennifer Harrelson), Michelle Blood (Collin), Christopher Kolbo (Sarah Lucas), Melissa Edwards (Nathaniel), Stephen Kolbo (Natalie Harrelson), Jason Kolbo, and Shanna Crow (Michael); and 29 grandchildren: Makenzie Boulter (Korbin), Katelyn, Alexander, Cameron Kolbo, Benjamin, Shawn, Hayden, Payton, Presley Blood, Logan, Mallory, Avery, Evan Kolbo, Micah, Ellie, Isaac, Hazel Edwards, Preston, Dawson, Lincoln, Zamari, Dominic, Autumn, Harper, Bailey Kolbo, Avalynda, Marallen, Roy, and Michael Crow. He will be remembered for his compassion, humility, sense of humor, and comforting presence. His family finds peace knowing he has returned to his Savior and is preparing a place for his eternal family.
