Marjorie Willett
June 26, 1935— March 8, 2026
Asheboro, NC
Marjorie Bolton "Marge" Willett, 90, of Asheboro, went to her eternal resting home on March 8, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Mark Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
Born June 26, 1935, in Dunn, NC, Marge was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Annie Ree Bolton. Marge was best known for her cooking and baking the most delicious cakes, desserts and biscuits. She loved being in the kitchen with her grandchildren and in recent years her great granddaughter Piper. Marge loved watching her grandchildren achieve all their goals and always wanted the best for them. If you were to ask anyone that knew her the sun rose and set in the eyes of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marge loved to travel and take her family on adventures, so they would have memories that would last a lifetime. Ocean Lakes was her home away from home. You would find her and the grandchildren there every summer. If she was not there she was taking the grandchildren to the mountains of Tennessee. When she was at home you would find her hard at work gardening. She loved her flowers and made sure David was on top of making sure all her birds were fed. The gardens were always full of green beans, tomatoes and many other vegetables. She loved canning and teaching her family how to can.
In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert David Willett.
She is survived by her son David Kelsey Willett and wife Lisa, along with her two grandchildren, Rebecca Willett Bray and husband Dwight, and Matt Willett. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Piper Bray and Cassidy Bray.
The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the funeral service, and other times at the home of Marge Willett.
