Marjorie Lucille (Daniel) Ferrin, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on March 5 at Maranatha Village. She was born on April 17, 1934, in Denver, Colorado, to James and Thelma Daniel.

Marjorie grew up in Denver surrounded by a large Swedish extended family whose influence helped shape the warmth and faith that defined her life. Music was a constant thread from an early age; at just two years old she sang for the evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman. A gifted pianist, she later fell in love with the organ. As a teenager she met her future husband, Paul, while the two played piano and organ duets. Their marriage lasted nearly seventy years until Paul’s passing, a love story that only Heaven could write. No man ever had a better wife.

After high school, Marjorie attended CBC in Springfield, Missouri. She and Paul married and together built a life of ministry that took them across the country, serving in Colorado, Kansas, Tennessee, California, and North Carolina before returning for many years to their beloved Colorado. Wherever they lived, Marjorie made a house feel like home. She was known for her warm hospitality, her exceptional cooking, and her gracious spirit. Her home was always beautiful, and she carried herself with a grace and class remembered by all who knew her.

A devoted Bible teacher, she often served as a wedding planner in her church and found great joy in mentoring the wives of ministers across the nation. The Word of God remained her passion, shaping every part of her life. Above all, she loved her family fiercely. She was a praying mother who taught her children right from wrong with both conviction and tenderness, remaining their biggest cheerleader through every season. Affectionately known as the family matriarch, she kept everyone connected and was the glue that held them together. She loved deeply, laughed often, and never minded beating anyone at Scrabble.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Peggy Daniel; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Claudia and Leo Muniz; her four children, Kathryn (Louie) Salazar of Carlinville, Illinois, Diane Ferrin of Colorado Springs, Kent (Kathy) Ferrin of Memphis, Tennessee, and Kevin (Debra) Ferrin of Nashville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents; and her siblings, Agnes Ambrosius and David Daniel.
