Marjorie Helen Bott
January 3, 1946— March 5, 2026
Yardley, PA
Marjorie Helen Bott of Yardley passed away on March 4, 2026. Born in Riverside, New Jersey, in January 1946, she grew up in Levittown and lived a full and vibrant eighty years.
From an early age, Margie immersed herself in the arts and movement. She studied ballet for many years at the Fred Knecht Dance Studio, enjoyed horseback riding, and participated in little theater. At Bucks County Playhouse she worked on hair and wigs, where she met her dear friend and mentor Ruth Kalatuka. She also created beautiful wigs for drag performers. Her remarkable memory often delighted friends, recalling precise details of clothing and classrooms from decades earlier.
Margie built a long career as a hairdresser and colorist, bringing joy to her clients by helping them look and feel their best. She approached her work with skill, precision, and genuine care, making people feel accepted and at ease. Her warmth, humor, and perseverance drew lasting friendships from her childhood neighborhood through her years in dance classes and throughout her professional life. Later, as a patient at Temple Lung Center under Dr. Gerald Criner, she became part of that community as well, participating in studies with the same dedication she showed in all her pursuits.
Margie is survived by her special friends Sherrie, Susan, and Nancy, along with many others whose lives she touched. She will be remembered with deep affection for the kindness and spirit she brought to everyone around her.
