June 26, 1935— March 8, 2026
Asheboro, NC
Marjorie Bolton “Marge” Willett, 90, of Asheboro, passed away on March 8, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on June 26, 1935, in Dunn, North Carolina, Marge was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Annie Ree Bolton. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert David Willett.
Marge was known for her exceptional cooking and baking, especially her cakes, desserts, and biscuits. She cherished time spent in the kitchen with her grandchildren and, in her later years, her great-granddaughter Piper. Her greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren achieve their goals and wanting only the best for them; to those who knew her, the sun rose and set in the eyes of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She loved to travel and create lasting memories with her family. Ocean Lakes became her home away from home, where she and the grandchildren spent every summer. She also took them on trips to the mountains of Tennessee. At home, Marge tended her beloved flower gardens and vegetable patch, growing green beans, tomatoes, and more. She enjoyed canning and teaching her family the same skills. She made sure her husband David kept the birds well fed and took great pride in her garden.
She is survived by her son, David Kelsey Willett and his wife Lisa; her grandchildren, Rebecca Willett Bray and her husband Dwight, and Matt Willett; and her great-grandchildren, Piper Bray and Cassidy Bray.
