Marissa L. "Lynne" (Smith) Canada

Marissa L. "Lynne" (Smith) Canada, 67, passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 5, 2026 at University of Louisville Hospital. Born on March 25, 1958 in Corydon, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late August J. and Edna Faye (Query) Smith.

A 1976 graduate of North Harrison High School, Lynne worked for Keller Manufacturing in Corydon and later as a cashier for Caesars Riverboat Casino in Elizabeth. She found deep joy in gardening, canning, and preparing her annual Chinese meal for her family. Lynne delighted in making every birthday and holiday special for her children, and she cherished painting, embroidery, classic silver screen movies, her cats, and the magic of the Christmas season.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Canada; sons Lee M. Stroud, Casey L. Stroud, and Justin W. Gibson; daughter Jessica E. Stroud; step-daughter Deidre Canada; brothers August M. Smith (Louann) and Allen R. Smith (Belinda); and sisters Phyllis M. Patterson, Teresa C. Ippolito, Lana F. Greemore (John), Vanessa A. Greemore, and LaLisa K. Crecelius (Tom).
