He was predeceased by: his parents, N. B. Shelley and Leola Norris Shelley; his wife Sybil Vickers Shelley; his siblings, Ray Maxwell Shelley, Milton Levelle Shelley and Margie Lee Ponder; his grandson Mark Hawkins; his nephew Guy Morgan, Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Cecil Savacool, Buddy Davis and Mack Ponder.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Griffith (Bob) of Henderson, Allan Collins (Lisa) of Kilgore, Robin Ruffo (Eric) of San Antonio and Steven Stinocher of Tomball; and his siblings, Nelley Savacool of Minden, Elaine Davis of Minden, Joyce Rowland (Robin) of Doyline and Mavis McBride (Larry) of Minden. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel (401 N Martin St, Kilgore, TX 75662). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
