Marion Edgar Measels

Marion Edgar Measels, a longtime resident of Rock Island, Tennessee, and native of Cass County, Indiana, died at his home on March 14, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on April 16, 1936, he served his country as a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a self-employed farmer in Culver, Indiana, and as a truck driver before building the Measels Terrace View Estates mobile home park in Rock Island.

Son of the late William Edgar and Dorothy Mae Spencer Measels, Marion was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Hopkins Measels; his brother, Robert Finley Measels; his nephew, Bradley Wayne Measels; and his niece, Lori Diane Measels.

He is survived by his daughters, Mari Lynn (Scott) Craft of Culver, Indiana, and Jonnie Sue (Kevin) Niemi of Hurley, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Cory Craft of Germany and Sarah Craft of Culver, Indiana; his sister, Janice Kay Hunt of Rock Island; the mother of his children, Linda Rae Herriott of Culver, Indiana; and several nephews.
