Mario J. Rodriguez

Mario J. Rodriguez, a three-year resident of Newburgh, passed away on March 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old.

Born on August 21, 1953 in New York, Mario was the son of the late Mario Rodriguez and Socorro Marzan. While living in the Bronx, he met Elsie Camacho, and the two shared their lives together until her passing on July 11, 2021. A devoted family man and ardent Yankees fan, Mario cherished spending time with his loved ones, playing video games and filling their days with laughter.

He is survived by his daughters Gwendolyn, Loni, and Crystal Rodriguez; sons Ruben Rodriguez and Edwin Vivas; sons-in-law Ruben Rivera, Eddie Gonzalez, and Kevin Ambrister; sisters Diane and Judith Rodriguez; brothers Nelson, Ruben, Richard, Dennis, and Henry Rodriguez; grandchildren Gabrielle Rivera, Abel Simmons, Edwin, Mario, and Margeruite Vivas; and grand-pups Caesar and Fudge.
